As you keep going it's almost as if the roads and buildings themselves are paved and built with all this stuff. Books, woven boxes, kimonos of the flashiest colors, all manner of ceramics, clocks and weight-measures, lenses, brushes, paper lanterns, mysterious powders... And all around you the smell of all kinds of food. Really it's hard to tell where the food and market stalls end and the junk begins, though you might still see hints of wooden structures and road beneath it all, and up above you can at least tell one building from another from the tiled roofs.

WELL it's hard to make your way through more than the main street, but among the piles of knick knacks and stores there are maybe three pathways with relatively few things to trip over...

Also yes, LOTS OF KIMONOS in all kinds of colors, mostly stuff that's suited for men but plenty of women's kimonos too.

Inside the bookshop it is LITERALLY FLOODED WITH BOOKS!!1 Ok no there are a few sitting areas and the old man who owns the book shop isn't buried...
