You find yourself standing in fog, so thick it is difficult to see through, though at least it isn't that strange miasma that had been pouring out of his heart when Allen first opened the door.
The complex is very much made up of traditional Japanese buildings. Those of you from Japan may recognize that it is the grounds of a shrine. You are in the living quarters, away from the main worship areas. Wooden walkways and paper screens greet you as you near the building.
Toki who had been hovering sort of at the back of the group speaks up again now that they've left the audience chambers, "Even Ginshu-san was different..."
Well, I don't really understand it much but I know you and that Kon guy are kinda from one world and went to the other, yeah? Is Ginshu another person from your world?
Syaoran and Watanuki are lead down past the gate by Toki. As you head into the city market, at first it just seems like the usual market bustle, with the same sterile quality that the kitchen in the shrine had. As you move along you notice that things are starting to get more lively, despite how the presence of generic townspeople disappears.
Yayoi and Red's presence also seems to disappear...
They pass one more path that leads to a low wooden gate, which Kon just says 'My place' to before moving on down the main road. The junk here starts to clear up a bit, giving them a bit more room and they can see the buildings around them better.
Heading past the gate down the tunnel into torchlit darkness, you notice that there are still piles of things around, though not as loud and colorful as just on the other side of the gate. It seems almost as if the way is paved with it.
The tunnel opens up shortly into the familiar caverns of the dorm area in the south block, though it seems compressed and the distances aren't as far. The other teams dorms are there but many of them look half-completed, half still in the ruins they were found in before everyone moved to the south block.
It's apparent what Ace meant when he said that the darkness problem has been bad lately. The ants lead Yayoi and Red toward the edge of Cepheus territory. The darkness is thick here, almost like a wall outside the nearest torchlight. There seem to be very faint torches sputtering a few yards away, and a few more yards after that, as if the darkness had creep up closer lately and new torches had to be set up.
The ants light their lanterns on a torch and the darkness recedes around them. 'Ready' one chitters. The other says 'No coward'
Finally the pathway of torii gates ends. Before you, spreading out to the left and right is an empty space full of darkness. Your shoes make echoing tapping sounds as you walk. Before you, rising up and up and into darkness is a great wall of (distressingly reflective) glass. Beyond the glass you can see the blurry impressions of a busy modern street. The song you heard on the path has faded into simple and quiet electronic tones (http://youtu.be/Pw0pPgtEvug?t=9s) in the background...
