All around you there are piles and piles of junk lining the rocky area, as if all the ideas and knowledge Shinonome has accumulated thus far has been manifested and spilled onto the ground. The pile of clothes you're sitting on are very comfy...

Heading past the gate down the tunnel into torchlit darkness, you notice that there are still piles of things around, though not as loud and colorful as just on the other side of the gate. It seems almost as if the way is paved with it.

The tunnel opens up shortly into the familiar caverns of the dorm area in the south block, though it seems compressed and the distances aren't as far. The other teams dorms are there but many of them look half-completed, half still in the ruins they were found in before everyone moved to the south block.

This area of the caves, the torches are well lit, as they are around noon. As you pass on, some of the piles of junk are becoming more ambitious. One looks kind of like Hydra's catapult... maybe two or three different versions of it...

Coming up on the Cepheus and Lacerta hill, the stuff built is much more elaborate, some of it half-finished, some of it complete, or maybe being dismantled, and actually it seems like the Cepheus and Lacerta dorms themselves have been adapted into one large building. Outside, tethered to the roof, is that ship that the team built for Foreman's game.

It's apparent what Ace meant when he said that the darkness problem has been bad lately. The ants lead Yayoi and Red toward the edge of Cepheus territory. The darkness is thick here, almost like a wall outside the nearest torchlight. There seem to be very faint torches sputtering a few yards away, and a few more yards after that, as if the darkness had creep up closer lately and new torches had to be set up.

The ants light their lanterns on a torch and the darkness recedes around them. 'Ready' one chitters. The other says 'No coward'

The ants head into the darkness, seeming to know exactly where they want to go, slow enough so the two of them can follow. The ground here lacks any of the colorful imaginations that have characterized the caves up until now, instead feeling strange and unsteady under your feet.

Though that may be true, time seems to drag a little while in here, with the darkness pressing around and nothing to really mark your passage. The ants start to look back at you two more often, wondering why the lagging...
